Three individuals, Ashif Ahmad, Faruk Khan, and Afshar Ali have been arrested in connection with the Park Street shootout that occurred on the early hours of 15th June 2024. The shooting incident was a result of a dispute over motorcycle overtaking earlier in the day.
The altercation started around 4:30 PM on 14th June 2024, when Sona opened fire on Ekhlas Begg (29), son of Sikandar Begg, at Mirza Ghalib Street near Park Street. The shooting left Ekhlas with a gunshot wound in his right leg. He is currently receiving treatment at the NCB Ward of CNMC Hospital.
Following the incident, a case was promptly registered at the local police station. The police swiftly acted on the case and managed to arrested the three suspects.
